After observing the politics playing out between two teammates on the road that day, and then having my attention grabbed by the day's winner, I had a lot of ideas churning by the end of the first few hours. The rest of the race was just as eventful, until I couldn't put the story in my head away for even a short while.

I didn't start watching that race with the idea of a story, but by time it was over, I knew I couldn't avoid writing it.Kimberly Menozzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09339575563935332543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5545029162830562930.post-88452878783740087512012-03-15T03:14:48.478-07:002012-03-15T03:14:48.478-07:00I was really stuck. I was going around and around ...I was really stuck. I was going around and around trying to make some rewrite suggestions on a mss work and I simply couldn't. Then one day, in a moment of pure mundanity I thought, 'this isn't going to work and I don't have to keep trying, what about....' and then I was in hospital for some food poisoning and had a dream about some incredible giant bioluminescent squid, just awesomely beautiful. So I put the two together. That's how I got started...Phillipahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00264700263885367373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5545029162830562930.post-73860836740238179012012-03-15T01:45:33.072-07:002012-03-15T01:45:33.072-07:00Songs planting seeds in your imagination. The dance scene you have there is powerful, very visual. Indeed, why would you dance in the rain? One simple question created a novel. That's cool.Diane Oliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10593211742866061103noreply@blogger.com
